CO2 laser and premier features in industrial process
DIAMOND lasers is a CO2 laser source that can score, perforate, and cut paper, foils, and films at speeds faster than any comparable laser while producing an outstanding edge quality

CO2 lasers are today’s premier processing tools

Why DIAMOND CO2 lasers provide superior processing?
There are three main reasons why DIAMOND lasers are able to process paper, foils, and films at high speeds with excellent quality:
1. High peak power: A maximum peak pulsed output power of 1500 watts.
2. The superior beam quality: A 500-watt DIAMOND laser can output 1500 watts of instantaneous peak power on the surface of a material. This is over three times the intensity of continuous-wave (cw) lasers of comparable output power. High intensity also means faster vaporization of non-metals, as well as higher speeds and a better quality cut.
For example, DIAMOND lasers can perforate paper at speeds up to 15 meters/second. Also, pulsed lasers operate 50% ON/OFF, allowing materials to cool during the ‘OFF’ cycle. So DIAMOND lasers process ‘cooler’ than CW lasers (See Figure below). And DIAMOND directs more energy to removing material, rather than simply heating it. So there’s less charring when processing organic materials, such as paper and leather, and less melting and discoloration when cutting plastic films

3. High pulse-repetition rates:
Low peak power and lower repetition rates limit how fast material is removed. DIAMOND’s high-speed power supply operates at high speeds with high quality — capabilities unique to DIAMOND lasers.
Adding to above-mentioned advantages, the DIAMOND laser source is also compact, sealed design also makes it more economical to implement, operate, and maintain than any other CO2 laser.
